| As the Gila Valley grows, so does the need for mass transit. Now, we do realise the county and various municipalities are looking into providing some sort of mass transit, a solution is in the works on the private commercial side - GVT. GVT will first consist of a taxi service covering the greater Gila Valley. Then, if the need has not subsided, or if the need grows, GVT will also consist of two 10 passenger vans initially running two seperate routes - one from Pima to Walmart, the other running various stops from Thatcher Park to Solomon. The Pima route will run from 7am until 9pm, with stops every 45 minutes. The main loop will run from 7am until 9pm, with stops every 3.5 hours (4 stops daily). As need increases, more vans or larger buses will be added. No launch date is set as of now, keep watching for future news! |
